MELTON
PLACE

This transformative project, located in a traditional terraced house, unfolds in two meticulously planned stages: a comprehensive ground floor renovation followed by the creation of a spacious loft extension. The result is a stunning reimagination of modern living that harmonises open spaces with clean, contemporary design.

LOCATION

London, UK

Stage One: Ground Floor Renovation
The initial phase focused on reinventing the ground floor, stripping away visual and physical barriers to create an open-plan layout that exudes a sense of fluidity and connection. The kitchen and dining area were expanded and bathed in natural light, thanks to a thoughtfully placed full-height window. The minimalist cabinetry and sleek surfaces enhance the aesthetic clarity, while the understated material palette lends an air of timeless sophistication.

Every detail of the ground floor was designed to invite light and movement, transforming the space into a bright and welcoming core for both family life and entertaining. The integration of modern finishes and a practical layout maximises functionality without sacrificing elegance.

Stage Two: Loft Extension
Building upwards, the loft extension introduces a new dimension to the home. Designed with precision, this added space accommodates a spacious master bedroom and ensuite bathroom, offering a private retreat that feels both luxurious and serene. The careful balance of proportions, combined with generous glazing, ensures the loft captures as much natural light as possible, maintaining the project’s overarching theme of openness and light.

A Unified Vision
Throughout the project, the architectural language remains consistent: clean lines, unobstructed views, and a harmonious flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. The design prioritises both practicality and aesthetics, creating a home that is as liveable as it is visually compelling.

The carefully curated interplay of natural materials, light, and open spaces makes this property a striking example of how thoughtful design can redefine a traditional home. The transformation not only enhances everyday living but also celebrates the joy of simplicity and the beauty of modernity, making it a timeless addition to the architectural landscape.
