Located along the iconic Av. Córdoba in the heart of Buenos Aires, this aging apartment was in dire need of extensive renovations and updates to transform it into the coherent, practical, and inviting home it was meant to be.

Under its previous occupants, the property had suffered significant deterioration due to overly aggressive use and general neglect. Yet the project faced strict constraints: a modest budget of under USD 4,000 and a short two-week window to complete all the necessary work before the final move-in date.
With these limitations in mind, the proposal centred on a full remodel of the kitchen and bathroom, a comprehensive repair of the rest of the apartment, and a revitalisation of the long, continuous balcony. In the kitchen, the countertop area was tripled, storage capacity was doubled, and the refrigerator—previously located in the living room—was repositioned to its rightful place. In the bathroom, fixtures were replaced, specialised paints were used to enhance aesthetics, and select tiles were changed to improve both function and appearance.
Additionally, a heater and an air conditioning unit were installed to address the lack of any prior heating or cooling system. Despite the tight schedule and budget, the end result exceeded the client’s expectations, delivering a refreshed, comfortable living space completed on time and within financial limits.
