Veronica Copello

She has participated in numerous national and international competitions within the academic framework of FADU-UBA, earning awards and distinctions in several of them—testament to her commitment to excellence and innovation in design. Among her standout achievements is the selection of her final thesis project, Centro de Salud Fluvial (River Health Centre), to represent FADU-UBA at ARQUISUR 2016 – Premio Arzotegui. Focusing on healthcare infrastructure in specific contexts, this project underscores her interest in tackling architectural challenges with significant social impact.

In 2017, her talent and dedication were once again recognised when she received the “Architectural Quality” award at the International Art Urbain – Séminaire Robert Auzelle Competition in France. This international recognition highlights her ability to intertwine aesthetic sensitivity with functionality in her projects.

Throughout her career, she has continually reflected on the profession, delving into the qualitative aspects of architectural spaces. To her, architecture is a tool for creating environments that not only meet human needs but also elevate the sensory and emotional experience of their occupants. These reflections have shaped her vision of the architect as a thinker, creator, and builder of space, always seeking solutions that positively affect the human habitat.

Alongside her teaching and research activities, she has extensive experience in project design and execution, as well as in inspection and site supervision, demonstrating a versatility that encompasses both conceptual and technical domains. Since 2012, she has worked in the public sector, applying her knowledge and skills to develop projects that address specific needs, combining efficiency and quality in every endeavour.

Her holistic approach and dedication to the profession have defined each stage of her career, positioning her as a reflective and passionate professional, ever in search of new horizons in architecture.
